Kickbox with gloves and bag

This is a BoxAerobics pattern from (pattern 11810)

I teach a kickbox class with gloves and a standing bag. We pair up two to a bag on opposite sides. Here is an example of a favorite combo I do. It can also be taught cardio kickbox style without the bag.

The final breakdown is:
Starting left lead, jab jab cross(1-4) step in right left (front) round kick two (5-8), turning to face bag alternate front kicks right and left-four kicks total (9-16), right front round kick march three around left front round kick march three around(17-24), now on right lead jack four times (25-32)--begin again right lead.

I usually start with jab, jab cross two left knees, changing the knees to one knee one kick, changing to two kicks, changing to one low kick one high kick, changing to balance kicks (no tap down).
Then I add on from there with the front kicks, etc.

With the round kick march, you can change the march to a jump switch for added intensity.

I am always looking for ideas that include a standing bag or that can be adapted to the bag. If any instructors are teaching a similar style class, please post some drills or combos.

We do a lot of interval style training on the bag instead of combos like the one above. For example jab cross jab switch for two minutes, side kick tap (or squat) one minute each side, jump rope two minutes-- then another punch, kick, cardio (or strength) interval. We can usually do about 6 intervals followed by abs and stretch in an hour class.
