Hill Drill

This is a Cycling pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 11524)

Here is a drill that my friend & I both use in our cycling classes (she started it & I have modified it....)

It is a hill drill & will utilize about 15-20 minutes of your class. I like drills that utilize class time & really challenge the participants. Make sure your music is mid tempo to hill climb tempo for this segment.

5 minute hill drill - I repeat this 3 - 4 X, so it will use about 15-20 minutes of class.

Start with resistance on about 11.5/12 (RPE 1-15), start in the saddle-

Repeat, starting with minute 1 again, but when they sit down this time, their resistance is higher than when they started the first hill (you added 3/4 turn & only took off 1/4 to 1/2). I usually do this drill 3-4X in class. Really challenges them by the 3 or 4th interval & they LOVE it!!!

Hope you guys like this pattern if you try it :)

Happy spinning!
