Hi/Lo To Go!

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 11577)

I teach a 40 minute hi/lo class on Thursdays...They love this one! Hope you do. Finished routine, explanations at the end.

Repeat on left lead

** X-step = 1 V-step forward, one V-step back

** Rocking horse- assuming right lead on previous step, right leg finishes the kick, goes to the floor ahead of the left and the left leg curls to form the "rock", right knee lifts again, left leg curls, etc...

** Now ready for right lead grapevine (I hop on the spot on count 4) Everything else is pretty self-explanatory, I make sure to leave the double curl/ankle optional, those who get confused easily may want to stick with the double curls.

**I say heel digs, it's just a heel to the floor alternating across the midline of the body. Some people with hip trouble may want to just do heel digs to the front.

** Once you get the routine taught to them, you may want to decrease the number of reps you do each exercise to make it a 128 count (right now it is 144) routine. It is easily adaptable since some of the steps are already 32 counts. Some people have trouble with the X-step, so I teach it to them with marches in between until I feel everyone is comfortable with the steps.
