Sonia's ABC's of Step (Routine BB)

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 12346)

Horizontal step, 32 count, self-reversing combos. Choreo* at end!

Combo 1

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 2.

Combo 2

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 3.

Combo 3

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 4.

Combo 4

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 5.

Combo 5

Repeat with a left lead or go to combo 1.

*1: 3 Step touches on top: (1) step up right, (2) left taps up, (3) lefts steps out on top, (4) right taps to left, (5) right steps out on top, (6) left taps to right, (7,8) exit left and right.

*2: Double step across & back: (1,2) up right and left at narrow end, (3) right steps to the side on top, (4) left foot taps in, (5) left steps out wide on top, (6) right steps to left - you are back at the narrow end you started on, (7,8) step down left, tap down right. More energetic students can go all the way across and back. This is just a lower impact version or for those shorter people.

*3: Slide "n" jacks: (1) right steps out wide on the floor, (2) slide the left foot to the right foot, (3,4) 1 jumping jack. Repeat by sliding left. May do two grapevines instead.

*4: Broadway knee: (1) step up right, (2) lift the left knee, (3,4,5) walk back left, right, left, (6) lift the right knee, (7,8) walk back to the step right and left.

*5: Knee with scissor straddle: (1) step up right, (2) lift the left knee, (3) left foot steps down on the home side, (4) right foot steps down on the front side - you are straddling the step and your legs look like an open pair of scissors, (5,6) step up left and right, (7,8) exit left and right.

*6 Glutes around the world: (1,2) step right and glute squeeze left, (3,4) straddle down left and right - you are facing west, (5,6) step left and glute squeeze right, (7,8) exit the front of the step right and left with a turn to face the back, (9,10) step right and glute squeeze left, (11,12) straddle down left and right - you are facing east, (13,14) step left and glue squeeze right, (15,16) exit the home side of the step right and left with a turn to face front. I teach this as 4 traveling glutes, doing a demo while they hold the travel. They always have the option of holding the glute travels.
