Golden Arch-AQUA ABS

Hi, this is a stabilization exercise for your abs although you WON'T be standing still! You will need one noodle per participant.

Start standing and holding a noodle, by its ends, in each hand. Sink the noodle down but leave the middle of the noodle out of the water. So, your hands will be under the water as will the ends of the noodle. The noodle should look like half of the McDonald's Golden Arches. Relax into a supine position in the water with feet close to the surface in front of you. Simply flutter kick across and back while maintaining steady arm postitioning with the noodle ends under. You can add the option of lowering the ends down a little lower and back to the starting position while fluttering.

A bit of a variation for the obliques is to dip the right side down a little and back to start and then the left. It is like having a big steering wheel in front of you. I call this "driving a BIG truck."
