This is a Cycling pattern from (pattern 12143)

Here's a new idea for you; (I got it after talking with a guy who takes my class who bikes outdoors, sometimes 200 miles on a weekend.)

Start with tension at 60-70% of max. and you are climbing a hill (seated). Tell the class to imagine that we are a team out on the road going single file. You call the name of a person or point to them and they have to stand, going as fast as they can, imagine that they are passing the rest of the team on the right, moving from last in line to first. They go their hardest for about 15 seconds and then back to seated, and the next person in line goes. The whole group must cheer for the person who is "passing". This really spices up class and gets you to know each others' names. If your classes are large, then you could do two riders at a time. The class told me later that they push themselves harder becasue they know everyone is looking at them!
