Heavy Bag Variations

Instructors, thanks for sharing!
Here's a little I would like to give back.
OK, for those of you fortunate enough to have heavy
bags...There's the standard option of creating combos to
perform on the bag, where everyone gets their own bag and
stays on it.
Try moving around:
- 1. Create a combo of moves, perform the combo once on the
bag, shuffle clockwise to the next bag, repeat the combo
again, shuffle to the next bag...etc. Next bag, next bag,
next bag.
- 2. Set the bags up staggered and have the class jog weaving
between the bags, after a bit, add two punches, like a
right-left to each bag as they pass it.
- 3. Set your stopwatch, create 3 very basic combos, like
4 hooks plus 4 alternating front kicks, that would have
been combo #1. Do combo #1 for one minute. Create an
equally basic combo #2, do combo #2 for one minute,
continue with combo #3, one minute again.
- 4. Keeping it simple (and sweaty) again, have them do 10
punches to the head on their bag, then run one lap around
the entire room, back to their original bag and repeat. Up
this to 20 techniques and 2 laps. Change it to kicks,
etc.
The idea is to vary things up a bit with the bags. I hope
these 4 ideas can inspire you.
