Simon Says Cycling!

This is a Cycling pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 13020)

This is a simple, but fun addition to any cycling class!

Tell the class you are going to play "Simon Says". You can explain the game by saying: "I am going to give you a series of cycling instructions. If I begin with saying Simon says, each of you must do that drill. For example, if I say "Simon says stand and climb", each of you will stand and climb. However, if I just say "stand and climb" you must NOT do it! If you do and I catch you, you have to sit and sprint for 15 seconds!"

Example:
Have the class stand and jog. Say, "Simon says sit and climb." (everyone should sit and climb). Then say, "Simon says stand and climb" (everyone should stand and climb) Then say, "sit and climb" (everyone SHOULD NOT sit and climb because you did not say Simon says first). Catch the ones who do sit down and make them sprint for 15 seconds!

This drill is fun and often evokes a few good chuckles...and many people end up sprinting a lot and getting an awesome workout!
