Basic shallow moves with strong arms

Set up the move first, then add travel and power
Jog
- Narrow jog
Arms: extend straight out in front; elbow strike behind;
thrust forward, pull back with equal amount of force
- Wide and high jog
Paddle, pull arms. Palms leads; right hand slice
down close & across body to left knee, rotate hand so
palm leads, sweep out and across body toward right side,
the obliques will be slightly activated; Repeat with
left, alternating arms
- In,in, out,out jog
Arm sweeps front/back; breast stroke out, scoop in,
at surface or deeper in water to obtain more resistance
- Rebound jog
Crawl arms as your travel forward; deep scoop down &
up to surface as you travel back; now travel using arms
to impede movement, travel front while deep scoop back,
travel back while crawl arms front
- Low sit jog, shoulders under water
Bicep/tricep press
Ski
- Neutral suspended
Alternate arms down deep front/back scull; stay tall,
don't let rib cage curl down
- Rebound
Arms glide on surface from side to center front, both
slice down deep sweep out, palms lead; rotate hands so
thumbs are up, slice up to surface. Start over
- Neutral with waist rotation
Glue elbow at sides, extend forearms straight out in
front, thumbs up, ski while turning upper body & arms as
one unit from side to side, keep hips facing forward
