Need for Speed!!

This is a Cycling pattern from (pattern 13123)

Hi everyone!
This is one of my favorite drills to do in cycling and the class has a blast with it, too! It works best when used with a fast, up beat tempo!

Tell your class that this is a speed drill, however they will be pretending that they are drafting off of each other and are all in a straight line! When I call out a name, that person has a 30 second sprint to get to the front of the line, and I continue calling names until everyone has gone! (When it is my turn to sprint, I require the whole class to go with me).

Encourage the class to cheer the person who is trying to get to the front and to keep their speed up to make it hard for the sprinter! You can make this drill harder by having them sprint with a higher resistance! To start, I usually use about 55-60% resistance level!
