Upper body drills

This is a Cycling pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 13127)

In my cycling class I like to try to use the upper body sometimes since cycling is mostly lower body. I have found doing "push-ups" during class on the bike really adds some upper body to the workout and gets that heart rate up a little. I have them lower that upper body down, elbows pointed to the floor, flat back. I have them hold that for an 8 count. Then bring the arms up straight for a 4 count. I do this 3 times. Then break it down into a 4 count, 3 times, then we speed it up to the beat of the song. I have gotten a lot of good feedback on this one. People really like the arm workout it gives them. Just make sure they keep their elbows in and pointed to the floor. It keeps the upper body aligned and really works those triceps!. Hope you like it!
