This is a Cycling pattern from (pattern 13130)

I used this with my class last week and they really liked it. You could do an entire class this way, although I did it for the last 20 minutes of class.

I took 3X5 index cards in different colors and on the back wrote the following:
Seated Flat, Standing Run, Jumps, Standing Climb, Seated Climb

I fanned the cards on the floor in front of the instructor bike, face down.

I took a second set of cards and on the back of those wrote,
With light resistance, with moderate resistance, with high resistance

I then had the FIRST PERSON to class and the LAST PERSON to class each pick a card from the first pile. Whatever they chose, we did for 5 minutes. The OLDEST and YOUNGEST persons in the room then chose the resistance level. (Luckily, no one chose a climb with light resistance - we would have "picked again"!)

My segue into this was that life if full of 'surprises' and today we had a surprise in store.

It just broke up the routine a bit and added some fun to class.
