This one really moves! (advanced)

This is a Step pattern from (pattern 13449)

Three parts, each 64 counts. Part I and Part III are self-reversing, but Part II is not.

Part I

* Squat & go -- place one foot on the step and keep the other on the floor, facing the side of the room. Do a pulse squat 2 times, then go over the step and do it again on the other side with the opposite leg up. So it is foot up and squat twice (1-3), propel yourself over the step (4), then squat twice on the other side (5-7) and propel yourself back up like you are going toward where you started (8). Then, they go right into the straddle march, so on count 8 they are on the top of the step and then right away they march with the legs straddled for 5.

Part II

* Penguin -- an 8-count move. You go up up and stomp the lead leg onto the floor at a slight diagonal off the front of the step, then immediately do a reverse turn off the front of the step and a mambo back. Up up (1-2), stomp front (3), reverse turn (4-5), down (6) and mambo back (7-8).

* Advanced lunge option -- instead of going up up lunge 2 again, on the second one they can do 5 quick taps. So it is up up (1-2), then from the top of the step tap the floor with alternating feet 5 times (3-7), then the trick is to end with a knee up (8) and go right into the grapevine with the leg that is in a knee.

Part III

* Knee pendulum -- you probably know this one, but just in case... Up knee (1-2), then put that second leg onto the step and swing the lead leg out to the side (3), then do it again with the opposite leg (4). Your legs look like the pendulum of a clock, and you end up on top of the step. Some people call this tick tock.

Have fun! Email me with any comments or questions. I hope I have explained things well. It is so hard to write what a move looks like!
