Here is another fabulous abdominal routine sure to get your class moaning and toned!

Plank/Table Top pyramid

Fairly simple to explain - four sets of table tops, each 30 seconds long with no break in between. The fun part is.....begin with level 1 for the first 30 seconds, then level 2, then level 3 and so on.

Level 1: For beginners, forearms on floor, elbows underneath shoulders, abs contracted and elevated off floor, knees on floor. Keep spine neutral throughout exercise.

Level 2: Same as above, except on toes instead of knees.

Level 3: As above except the toes of one foot are on the heel of the opposite foot.

Level 4: Instead of toes resting on heels, extend one leg up and hold

Level 5: One arm table tops:) Legs are wider than a regular table top, have one arm behind back with the other forearm on floor aligned with chest. Keep hips level and shoulders strong.

I have also done this routine starting at the hardest level and working down.

Be sure to encourage your participants to work at their level with GOOD form. It is always quality over quantity!
