Horizontal Inline

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 13876)

I taught this horizontal inline class today - for the first time. Basically, the benches are set up horizontally, side-by-side with about 1-2 feet between the ends. Each person needs one bench. When switching benches one eventually gets to the end of the line. At the "switch" cue if you are on the last bench you run across the room to the beginning of the row and join into the combo.

Non-reversing (these combos must non-reverse in order for them to work inline)

Combo 1

Switch to next bench (when leading right you move left to your next bench)

Combo 2

Combo 3

Combo 4

Combo 5

First I taught the combos outright - everyone using her own bench. Then we moved inline to the left (right lead). I started with 3 repetitions of each combo and then I stacked them twice through. Then I repeated the class moving right (left lead). I also stuck in some interval work...

This move I got off turnstep a few years ago - THANKS!
up, up (like the beginning of a turnstep) (2)
down (1)
rock back (2)
up, up (like a turnstep)(2)
down (1)

This move I stole when taking a class in Rochester, MN many years ago!
I lead into this move with three regular straddles. To begin this move your feet must be straddling the bench.

Assume right lead (you have just finished a right straddle and you are facing west):
right foot swings over the bench to meet left foot (2)
jack (2)

Yikes - hope I explained everything ok.
