Steppin Up / Hi-Lo/ boot camp combo

This is a [Other] pattern from (pattern 12748)

What I did to jazz up a step or step/HI/LO interval class, is I took some of my hi/lo combos (use hi/lo music) and incorporated small parts of the combo on the step at the faster tempo, but start with the hi/lo choreography on the floor and then show the intense boot camp variation if desired on the step. This is the first combo I have ever submitted. I would appreciate any feedback.

Step is in vertical position. Start at right bottom corner of step.

Combo 1 hi/lo on the floor

Start with right lead

Repeat left lead

Follow the same hi/lo pattern but move forward until you are beside the middle of the bench. Instead of grapevine with the rocking horse step touch, go over the bench and do rocking horse on the bench to the faster tempo. As you are doing this move 4x, start moving backwards towards the end of the bench, so that by the time your have finished you can be behind the bench to start the other lead. This next piece I add from the position beside or behind the step.

Combo 2 hi/lo on the floor

Repeat left lead for 32 counts

Variation is simply doing a quick hop on and off the end of the step instead of the heel lift or hop on the floor for those last 4 counts. To this combo I add mambo cha cha cha alternating lead but do it on the bench instead of the floor. Add some alternating side squats on the floor and you are in neutral position to go to another combo of your choice.

I found that this offers lots of options for different levels of participants in your class. I always have the people that want the intensity, but I also have a fair amount of beginners that I don't want to scare off. Let me know what you think.
