"Grab Hold"
This is a
BoxAerobics pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 12687)
Part 1.
- Right side lead and shuffle front 3 counts with punches,
4th count is a left cross. (1-4)
- Shuffle back 3 counts (with punches), 4th count is a right
knee.(5-8) 2x
Part 2
- Right punch, left cross, right punch and right knee 4x
- Change this to be a pivot to the right when you knee up
which will leave you facing right, repeat and finish
facing the front. 4x
Part 3
- Start with right punch to front. (1)
- Left cross (2)
- Right elbow (3)
- Grab (4) both hands grab hold as if you are grabbing
someone's head.
- Two back knees (5-8) pulling both arms down.
- Two front right kicks (1-4)
- Two shuffles (5-8) 2x
Repeat all with left lead.
I use this towards the end of my class as extra cardio. I tend
to teach part 3 first, at a slower pace. It can be confusing to
some who are not as coordiated as others. This way you do not
have to slow the class down to teach the whole routine. I love
this one!
In between right lead and left lead I will put in jump rope
and power squats and/or walking kicksforward 4 times (8 counts)
and 4 jacks back (8 counts). Good luck!
