Tear It Up
This is a
BoxAerobics pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 12694)
- Start facing the right corner of the room with a punching bag using both arms. (8 count)
- Switch to right arm only (8 count)
- Repeat both 4 times = 64 count total.
- Reposition to boxer stance, using right arm only and proceed with hi/lo jabs. The high jabs are way up, low jabs about shoulder height. Encourage your group to REALLY punch here. I usually do 4 sets of 8.
- By now the right arm is getting pretty fatigued. Now facing forward, still working only right side, proceed with 8 hooks, 8 uppercuts, 8 jabs (can double-time these), and 8 strikes. Repeat.
- Before transisioning to the other side, I usually do plyo-jumps, then repeat the whole thing for the left side, facing the left corner of the room with punching bag move.
REALLY works out the upper body, plus it's easy to cue and follow.
