Pour Some Salt on those Pour Shoulders!!

This is a Body Sculpting pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 12732)

This is a great isometric shoulder exercise that can be done at the end of a shoulder workout in class.

Arms are extended out to your side with fists shoulder height. With 5 pound weights in your hands, twist your arms so your pinkie fingers are on top and thumbs are underneath. I cue this "Pour the salt out of the salt shaker".

Hold...Hold....Hold...this for 60 seconds (or more if you can)!!!!

It is a great shoulder burner and my students love it. They think their arms are going to fall off. It really is a challenge. As they get tired you will need to remind them to check their posture and keep their shoulders pressed down (not up to their ears).
