Mega Step Advanced
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 13375)
Combo 1:
- L-step turn straddle turn
- Hesitation turn 2 hops to end it, as you hop turn front. Your bum to bench you face front of room.
- Grapevine in one direction (4 counts)
- Step up on back corner of bench do a double knee straddle
- With opposite leg do a double knee exit landing facing front
- Step up into split basic
Repeat from L-step left lead
Combo 2:
- V-step facing front
- V-step on floor facing left
- Over top directly into grapevine away and back to bench
- Rock rock hop turn
- L-step
Repeat from V-step leading left, the second V on floor face right
Combo 3:
(This is a 64 count combo, it's a bit tricky)
- Facing side step knee lift with 2 fast taps on floor (knee leg taps)
- Pendulum on top 4 into straddle (you should be leading left)
- Shuffle 2 and step down turning into bench
- Walk to short end and hold with 2 claps
- Cross the top facing back of room
- Knee up straddle facing out [you should be facing right]
- Hop turn directly into a rocking horse [you should be facing left] do not tap floor when landing
from hop turn go directly into knee lift for rocking horse.
- Over the top with a heel dig [leave right foot on bench no tap on floor]
- Come right back into 2 alternating lunges
- Lunge and kick (outside leg) step down into "Charleston" (inside leg lunges back on floor)
- Step up and straddle
- Double hamstring straddle
- Stomp the corners 2 ("regular" side of bench)
- 1 Jack
Repeat from step knee tap tap. I usually do a few basic lefts until they are comfy with the combo.
Combo 4:
- Turnstep directly into a walk backwards ending with knee lift
- Walk back to step and pivot (full 360 degrees either off step or on floor) From pivot step up and straddle
- Mambo on top of step, then forward on floor
- Mambo on top of step then backwards on floor
- Mambo cha cha mambo 2x's to change leads
Repeat from turnstep walk leading left
Combo 5:
- Step touch on top 2
- As you go into your second touch on top turn and face right as you squat off side of bench
- Step up on top
- Step off short end and lift your right knee
- Step back and lift your left knee
- Land on floor left into a V-step on floor [bench between your feet]
- Basic left on short end
- Hop turn into 2 lunges go over top as you finish 2nd lunge
- Corner to corner (diagonal walk on bench) step down and face front
Repeat from step touch leading left
