Kauai Low Impact - a little Samba for you
This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 13306)
Here's my most recent pattern:
- Grapevine reverse "L" right/left (so you turn in after the right grapevine vs. out)
- Step right curl, left curl moving towards the W wall
- Step right double knee repeater
- Move back doing 4 single glute squeezes ending with a double on the right leg and a right V-step
faces you back forward where you reverse the combo (I insert "stall" grapevines when teaching this)
- Alternate step knee to the front of the room right/left/right/left - just like you would on a
step platform - this can change to a knee facing front, back, front, back
- Mambo cha cha across the body
- Right lead walk walk (forward) mambo
- Walk walk (moving back) mambo back
- Repeat
- Samba right lead (like a mambo but smaller and moving sideways) x 4
- Step left charleston kick x4
- Repeat left lead
Doesn't look like much choreography but in between teaching and repeating it lasts a good
30 minutes. Hope this inspires someone out there.
Aloha, Petrina
