Hi/lo and away we go

This is a Hi/Lo pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 13324)

I break this combo down alot starting with a march V-step up and back. Add lunges to the top and back of the combo. I then move on to the step touch hamstring portion starting with 8 reps each and breaking it down to 4 each then 2 each. Next I take the march V-step forward add the lunges and move back with the step touch hamstring curl portion 2x. I do this several times until the group is comfortable and then start teaching the mambo portion. When I teach this portion, I start with the mambo shuffle a few times, then do the mambo step together heel lift part and then put that part together. Once they feel comfortable with it on the right foot lead, I transition them to the left foot by adding 4 double lunges left and right then do the same on the left foot lead. When you add this part on, you need to cut the 2 step touch 2 hamstring part down to one time and move right into the mambo right. Next I teach the knee kick lunge portion. I start with 4x knee kick into 8 lunges cut it in half and then in half again. Then add the double knees up and over and cross behind and you are done. I like to take the combo around the room starting to the left wall. I hope this isn't all too confusing. Feel free to email with questions.
