Jack/ski variations

This is an Aquatic pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 12946)

Hi! Keep the water ideas coming!

Jumping jacks: I call it scissors. Have class jump legs wide but don't let the feet touch the pool until they come back together in the center. Really works the outer thighs. Have them do the opposite as well...jump out with feet touching the floor in the out position but just bring legs together in the center without feet touching floor until they go back out. This will really get the inner thigh as well as increase the heart rate, especially if the cue is to really accelerate.

Ski: have class work one leg at a time. Instead of switching/alternating legs, for example: right leg goes forward, left leg goes back. bring them together in the center then go out again with out switching left leg forward right leg back. They can regular ski in between for transition. Then switch and hold it on the other side.

Hope this makes sense!
