Jump Rope Interval Class

This is a [Other] pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 13159)

I teach a 30-minute jump rope interval class. Intervals of jumping combined with body weight toning exercises (takes too much time to get equipment, etc. between intervals so I use body weight exercises to make it go faster)

Beginners and those who are not-so-coordinated will jump without a rope and get as great, if not better, of a workout. Make sure everyone is jumping on the balls of their feet, not the heels, and keeping the jumps low to the ground. Encourage them to take breaks at any time and stretch the calves when they need too!

Depending on the level of participants, some intervals may be longer or shorter. I have 1 class that can go 6 or 7 minutes easily.

The class definitely attracts the more advanced members but beginner exercisers can do fine too, you may just have to shorten their intervals, have them march in between or something.
