Seven-Up (Sonia's #34)

This is a Double Step pattern from (pattern 13185)

Steps are in a 7 shape or upside down L. The step in front of you is Home, the step to your right is Away. The corners are touching. As you travel from one step to the other make the turns toward that inside corner where they touch. The abbreviation IC means to do the move at the inside corner with one foot on each step. 32 count, self-reversing, tapless combos. Written with right lead directions.

Combo 1

Repeat with left lead on Away. You start this facing the back of the room, but the hamcurl exit will face you front again.

Combo 2

Repeat with left lead on Away.

Combo 3

*1 Sumo Walk: Think of how Sumo Wrestlers walk when they are facing each other and you will get the idea! This is a half time move. Squat down and walk: (1,2) right foot forward, (3,4) left foot forward, (5,6) right foot forward, (7,8) left foot forward and lift out of the squat. Use big, ponderous movements! You can even step over the end of the step instead of moving completely around it. Just get to that front corner for the L-step! My class got a big laugh out of this move.
