Standing Cardio Ball Part Two
This is a
Ball pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 13224)
Starting position: legs are comfortably apart, toes slightly turned out.
Hold the ball by the sides, elbows at a right angle.
Breakdown:
- Robot ball* left and right x 8 (32)
*Turn the body to the left, hold the ball tight, no movement at
shoulders or elbows, right heel comes off the floor. Repeat, turning
to the right, left heel comes off the floor.
- Ball to side walls* x 8 (32)
*Same as robot ball, but push the ball toward the left wall when
turning left, and the right wall when turning right.
- Push the ball high* left and right x 4 (16)
*Plie' down, ball at waist (1) releve' (up on toes), push the ball
up and to the left (2) plie' down, ball returns to waist (3) releve'
and push the ball up and to the right (4)
- Push the ball low* x 4 (16)
*Same as above, but the ball is pushed down instead of up
- Repeat push the ball high x 4 and push the ball low x 4 (32)
Reduce the above by half and run through twice.
Then run through the finished product:
- Robot ball left and right x 2 (8)
- Push towards the wall left and right x 2 (8)
- (The following is called "letter X"):
- Push high left and right (4)
- Push low left and right (4)
- Repeat "letter X" (8)
This is a good simple combo that will get even the beginning ball student
moving. The workout is in the breakdown. Link the finished product with
the warmup in
Standing CardioBall Part One for a longer combo.
