Okay, here's a simple, but tough pattern that I use in my classes. It will really heat up your thigh muscles and work those lungs. It is up to you (and how much your students complain) to decide how long to do the pattern.
Have your students line up as you would to run in a circle around the room. Leave enough space between each student to be able to do front kicks without kicking the person ahead of them.
(Your squats/front kicks are stationary while your lunges take you forward.)
Tell your students to keep their hands up in a guard position throughout this exercise.
You DEFINITELY need to call the moves out on this pattern to keep everyone in time and in the right space. You will end up moving around the room in a circular pattern.
So far I have not added punches to this pattern, but please feel free to be creative and add them in if you wish.
This is my first submission to this site. I hope that others can use this pattern in their classes. If you have any questions about this pattern, please feel free to send me an email.
