Wendy's full step routine #1
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 13662)
Horizontal step, all patterns are 32 counts, self-reversing and tapless. All patterns start on right
foot lead. To reverse, just do the pattern on the left foot instead.
1.
- 1 V-step, right foot lead (1234)
- 1 Turnstep, right foot lead (5678)
- 1 Over the top, left foot lead (1234)
- Walk or step touch around the end to the back of the step, right foot lead (5678)
- Double knee repeater, right foot lead (1234)
- Walk backward around the end to the front of the step, left foot lead (5678)
- Revolving door, left foot lead (12345678)
Repeat pattern on the left foot lead, facing the back of the room.
2.
- Facing front of room, step up right, up left, and lunge back 6 times and exit right, left (12345678/12345678)
- L-step, right foot lead (12345678)
- Mambo on step, left foot lead (12)
- Chasse to the back of the room, left foot lead, turning over the left shoulder (a quick 123 step) (3 and 4)
- Mambo on floor, facing back wall, right foot lead (56)
- Chasse over right shoulder to face front again, right foot lead (7 and 8)
Repeat pattern on the left foot lead.
3.
- Facing front of room, walk straight over your step, right foot lead. (1234)
- 1 Jumping jack facing front of room (step is behind you) (56)
- 1 Jumping jack facing back of the room (facing step) (78)
- 3 Point turnstep, right foot lead (12345678)
- Over the top, right foot lead (1234)
- Indecision straddle, left foot lead (step up left foot, straddle your step, step up and exit left.) (5678/1234)
- 1 Abductor, right foot lead, and travel so that you face the back of the room. (5678)
Repeat pattern on the left foot lead, facing the back of the room.
4.
- Facing front of room, step up with your right foot, kick left foot, step down left foot and lunge back right foot. (1234)
- 2 Alternating hamstring curls on top of your step, right foot lead (5678)
- 2 Alternating hamstring curls on the floor, right foot lead (1234)
- 1 Grapevine to the right, right foot lead (go past the end of your step) (5678)
- Across the top of your step (the long way)three times. (12345678/1234)
- L-step back, right foot lead (5678)
Repeat pattern on the left foot lead. Then start again from the top.
Once you have taught the pattern, it is fun to break it down a bit. Instead of repeating each pattern
twice, (once on right foot, once on left) do each pattern once. Pattern #1 will be on right foot lead,
Pattern #2 on left foot lead facing the back of the room, Pattern #3 on right foot lead facing the back
of the room, and Pattern #4 on left foot lead facing the front of the room.
