Super Aqua Abdominals II

This is an Aquatic pattern from (pattern 14300)

Hi! I have been hearing from a lot of you about using my Super Aqua Abdominals. I am glad it is working for you. Just to let you know you can change it up so it doesn't get boring here are a few suggestions.

Props: Besides using a noodle in different ways I substitute, buoys, kick boards and even use nothing other than my arms in a circle as using an invisible beach balls (I tell students to imagine the bouyancy of the ball), or hand on top of hand as if pushing down on a pump.

I change the items being counted to go with the holidays or an event happening soon (ie, Easter, colors of a rainbow, spring flowers, etc.)

I incorporate a hidden game near the end: recently when doing spring flowers the last 4 counts of 10 were......Red Clover, White Carnations, Bluebelles, Persian Star. What is the answer? An American flag. (RED, WHITE, BLUE, STAR).

Pool cold? Make it more active....between each set of 10 crunches add 10 counts of jogging, jacks, skis, etc.

Note: I also alternate center crunches with working obliques by crunching to the sides.

You can mix it up anyway you want. My seniors are up to 150 crunches. Even their doctors are commenting on how much straighter they are standing, how much stronger they appear. The students themselves are commenting to me how their backs hurt less or not at all and how their clothes fit better.
