I teach a 70 minute hi/lo class at the community center where I have quite a mix of participants...some very advanced, some lower intensity but all there for a full hour of cardio...no toning. So here is a sample of one of my classes. None of it is too fancy but I like to choreograph so that the advanced ones can really work it!!!
Combo 1
- Step touch forward (8)
- Squat right/left (8)
- Step touch back (8)
- Grapevine right to repeater knee left (8)
- Lead change
Combo 2
- L-step (8)
- 4 Jacks or heels (8)
- L-step home (8)
- Single/single/double inner thigh (8)
- Lead change
Combo 3
- Shuffle right/left (8)
- Punch it out center (8)
- Go low and pulse-hop* (8)
- Football run with punching bag (8)
- Go left
Combo 4 (I used this one from here so kudos to the submitter!!)
- Step touch around the world (or center) (8)
- Diagonal grape and back (8)
- Rocking horse (8)
- Single/single/double hams (8)
- Lead change
Combo 5
- Walk forward tap and back (8)
- 2 Charlestons (8)
- 2 V's (8) one front one back
- Grapevine 3 alternating hams
- Lead change
Combo 6
- Out out in in 2 (8)
- 4 Side lunge (8)
- 2 Steps to the right (tap cross back) and back (8)
- Single/single/double BIG side knees
- Lead change
Combo 7
- Scoop forward (8)
- Double side lever right/left (8)
- Roger rabbit back (8)**
- Single/single/double rear lunge (8)
- Lead change
*Here I get them to squat low and hop up and down
** Roger rabbit: a higher version of a rear toe tap moving backward
