Hello abs!
This is a
Ball pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 14528)
This set came to me as I was doing abs with a ball in my Kickboxing class. Of course, it's good for any class. The student will really feel it in the inner thighs, as well as lower and upper frontal abs. Plus, it's fun to challenge them to achieve a higher number!
Start position: Lay on the floor with ball between legs, feet wrapped around the sides and of ball. Hands palm down on floor.
- 8 Lower abs: lift hip bones slightly off floor, put them down
- 8 Upper abs: hands move up to face, elbows tucked in, loosely in a "guard" position, hips stay on floor, feet still up, crunches with shoulders rising off floor
Here comes the fun!!
- 8 Have the students pat/drum the ball twice as they lift their hips and shoulders off mat
- Build the amount of strikes from 2, 3, 4, and so forth, making them do about 8 each. My KB class competes with my Body Sculpting class that follows, and they can do 10!
Please feel free to email me for any clarification.
