Sprints for shallow water aerobics

This is an Aquatic pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 14720)

This is a simple idea that my class seems to enjoy.

We start out with our backs against the wall, holding on with our hands and flutter kicking for a bit. Then I give some cue, such as "ready, set, go", and everyone sprints across the pool to the opposite wall. We then return to the flutter kicking with our backs to the wall.

Any number of variations can be used for the sprint across the pool or the work on the wall. Variations I've tried on the wall include: squeezing legs in and out with back against the wall, holding onto the wall to do vertical push-ups, or placing back against the wall and using arms to back paddle or scoop yourself against the wall. As far as sprints go, I've tried small hops, fast alternating knee lifts fast alternating kicks, etc., which can all be done going forwards or going backwards.
