# Mix It Up (Sonia's #39)

Here's a few 32 count, self-reversing, tapless combos for the horizontal step. Level would probably be intermediate to advanced. Right and left designates which foot you start with.

### Combo 1

- Right, V-swoop (8)
- Left, broadway knees (8)
- Left, rurning L-steps (16) see pattern 14712 for footwork

Repeat left

### Combo 2

- Right, off the left end: hamcurl, grapevine away with no tap, 1 jack, grapevine back to the step with no tap, right squat to step (16)
- Right, tick tock fast or slow, exiting left/right at home (8)
- Left, split basic 1x (8)

Repeat left

### Combo 3

- Right, walkabout (5)*
- Left, walkabout (5)
- Right, double abductor lift (6)
- Left, rock 'n' fly 2x (16)

Repeat left

### Combo 4

- Right, charleston 2x or charleston ski (8)
- Right, shuffle forward into a straddle (4)
- Left, mambo off the front side (4)
- Left, shuffle back into a straddle (4)
- Right, mambo off the home side (4)
- Right, split repeater combo (8)**

Repeat left

### Combo 5

- Right, lunges around the world (16)
- Right, skate (8) try adding turns***
- Left, traveling glute squeeze 2x (8)

Repeat left

Footwork:

*Walkabout

1) right stomps at left corner, left lifts slightly

2) left steps forward on floor, right lifts slightly

3) right stomps at left corner, left lifts slightly

4,5) walk home left/right - head for the right corner to repeat

NOTE: teach this first as double stomps at each corner, then show the walkabout option.

**Split Repeater Combo:

1) step up right

2) knee lift left

3) left foot to floor at home

4) right foot lunges over the step and touches the floor in front

5) right foot steps on top

6) left kicks to the side

7,8) exit left/right

***Turning Skate:

1,2) step up right, hamcurl left beginning to turn to the left

3,4) step on top left completing the turn to face the back, right hamcurl

5,6) right steps to the floor off the end, left hamcurl

7,8) walk home left/right
