Endurance Without Boredom

This is a Cycling pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 14109)

I developed this to counteract the #1 complaint about endurance sessions in cycling/spinning: boredom

It's a two-stage hour: 15 second increments and 5-minute segments.

Important: announce: "in this hour, we're either ON (75-80%) or OFF (50-60%)."

15 Second increments stage (in this stage, ON is standing, OFF is in the saddle)

Then reverse the process and go "down" to the 15 ON/15 OFF. This stage should take about 25 minutes.

After this, I say, "That was the warm-up!" (smiles through the grimaces!)

5 minute stage:

Here, retain the ON/OFF levels, but people can sit or stand at will.

Music: my folks like the tried and true for endurance sessions, not the unknown or experimental.

Let me know what you think and what you would improve.
