Muscle Work

This is a BoxAerobics pattern from (pattern 13939)

My class loves to do extensive lower body work.

We run through a few drills to warm up, usually all for kicks at 8 reps, 16 reps, 24 reps. Then we move onto upper body combos.

Time for cardio after that. A favorite of mine is 3 side shuffles and a side kick back and forth. We will bo this 8x on each side and then add an alternating front and side.

Shuffle 3x, alternate side-front-side and repeat other side.

Onto muscle work. Front kick into a lunge 8x and switch. You can add a face block during the lunge. Then do the other side.

Front kick with a squat 8x each side. This one is fun to turn into a crescent kick- squat.

More cardio...jack, step front right with jab, jack step front left and jab......jack right jab-jack left jab-repeat 16x each side.

Jump kicks are always a great cardio and lower body workout too.
