All Around the House

Aquatic pattern from

(pattern 14472)
With this pattern I work in 4 move ladders (i.e A, AB, ABC, ABCD).
Pattern 1 (side)
- A. Jumping jacks (crossing hands and feet in front)
- B. Pendulum (dragging arms across opposite of feet)
- C. Side karate kicks (staying low, kicking hard, no hands!)
- D. Frog jumps
- Take two laps across pool moving sideways
Repeat side pattern
Pattern 2 (front)
- A. Front kicks (straight leg)
- B. High knee jog (fast)
- C. Ankle taps in front
- D. Russian kicks (shoulders low, kicking high)
- Take two laps across pool moving forward
Repeat side and front pattern
Pattern 3 (Back)
- A. Straight leg kick to the back
- B. Double hamstring curl (jumping up with both legs, trying to kick yourself)
- C. Cross-country ski
- D. Heel taps below
- Take two laps across pool moving backward
Repeat side, front and back pattern
Sometimes we will take a break in the middle for current running or something else silly so the class doesn't get too comfortable with the pattern and figure out what is coming next. I did this with my class last night and they really liked it. Have fun. Please contact me if you have any questions!
