- 3. Orgy: Blue Monday (70) 4:07 3X45s with30s rest
- 4. Doobie Brothers: Long Train Running (58) 3:26 seated climb
- 5. David Bowie: John, I'm Only Dancing (78) 2:47 standing run
- 6. Blink 182: Untitled (84) 2:46 sprints
- 7. Eric Clapton: Stone Free (65) 4:25 standing climb
- 8. Stealers Wheel: Stuck in the Middle With You (64) 3:23 seated climb
- 9. Heart: Barracuda (70) 4:22 3x45s with 30 rest
- 10. Thin Lizzy: Whiskey in the Jar (64) 5:43 standing climb
- 11. Lynyrd Skynyrd: Sweet Home Alabama 4:40 cooldown
- 12. The Guess Who: American Woman 3:51 cooldown
The following two classes are both an hour long. I designed these after taking a workshop that focused more on using the music as a motivational tool in cycling rather then using timed intervals, so I'll try to explain the drills a little better. Because I teach at a university I have used a lot of pop and hip hop.
- 1. Black Eyed Peas: Shut Up (58) 4:56 warm-up
- 2. Aerosmith: Love Me Two Times (66) 3:15 seated/standing intervals - seated 16 counts, stand 16 counts, then seated 8 counts, standing 8 counts, seated 4 counts, stand 4 counts, seated 2 counts, stand 2 counts, then pyramid back up
- 3. Rob Zombie: Reload (72) 4:25 more intervals - this time sit, stand, squat, stand using the same counting pattern above
- 4. Evanescence: Imaginary (96) 4:17 standing jog pedal at half-tempo on verses, sit on chorus sprint at tempo speed
- 5. The Pills: Rock Me (68) 3:35 Turns (pedaling with only one foot at tempo)
- 6. Keith Urban: Somebody Like You (56) 3:51 seated climb on verse, standing climb on chorus
- 7. Aerosmith: Walk This Way (56) 5:11 standing climb adding resistance every so often, I usually have the participants visualize five levels of exertion on the climb
- 8. Janet Jackson: Strawberry Bounce (96) 3:00 rest/seated sprint
- 9. Evanescence: Going Under (88) 3:34 sprints
- 10. Gin Blossems: Follow You Down (80) 4:29 seated standing intervals like above
- 11. The Beu Sisters:Catch Me If You Can (64) 3:35 stand and pedal at 64rpm during verse, sit and pedal at tempo during chorus
- 12. Britney Spears: Toxic (72) 3:21 intervals - this time stand, lean, squat, sit using same counting pattern above
- 13. Britney and Madonna: Me Against the Music (68) 4:29 start of climb
- 14. Janet Jackson: All Nite (56) 3:26 standing climb
- 15. Bela Fleck and the Flecktones: Trouble and Strife 5:15 cooldown
- 1. Jojo: Leave (88) 3:46 warm-up

- 3. Outkast: Hey Ya (80) 3:51 intervals - sit, stand, squat, stand
