Cycle instructors, here are some great songs and what I do with them:
- 1) Jam For the Ladies - Moby - standing climb increasing every minute
- 2) Lose Yourself - Eminem - seated to standing climb
- 3) Me Against the Music - Madonna and Britney Spears - seated climb with lifts on the chorus (4 count lifts)
- 4) Fighter - Christina Aguilar - standing climb, increase on chorus and drop it back down to a moderate climb
- 5) Let's Get Loud - Jennifer Lopez - standing run (flat), increase resistance and keep cadence
- 6) I've Done Everything For You - Rick Springfield - standing run (flat)
- 7) Gotta Get Through This - Daniel ? - 30 second sprint, rest 15 seconds, 45 second sprint, 15 second rest x2. I cue it: pull away from the beat you're not using the beat of the music for the sprints
- 7) Kung Foo Fighting - Fat Boy Slim - warm-up song
- 8) Just Like a Pill - Pink-Seated - climb, increase on the chorus and stand, take a seat and keep the resistance
- 9) Devil Inside - INXS - standing sprints, increasing time. 10 second sprint, 20 second...50 second you can use the chorus line for the sprints
- 10) **Rockstar - Jason Nevins remix of N.E.R.D. - same drill as #8 Most kick butt song in all of cycling! :)
Okay there's my list of favorites. I like to keep my music up to date I don't like the old stuff. I find my class digs the music. Tip for instructors: Know your music!!! I time all of my chorus line intervals. It makes for an awesome class when you can cue the end of a climb or interval right to the last beat of music. Have fun, cylce hard!
