Sonia's ABC's of Step (Routine HH, Intermediate)

This is a Step pattern from (pattern 14406)

32 count, self-reversing, tapless combinations for a vertical step:

     *    *
     *    *
     *    *
Left *    * Right

All combinations begin on the back narrow end (Home)

Combo 1

Repeat left.

Combo 2

Repeat left.

Combo 3

Repeat left.

Combo 4

Repeat left.

Combo 5

Repeat left.

*Short cut: (1) step up right at the back left corner, (2) left foot steps off the left side, (3,4) march right left in place.

**Rock 'n' Turn: (1,2) step up right, hamcurl left, (3,4) step down left, knee lift right, (5,6) as you step up right turn/pivot left to face the back...the left knee lifts, (7,8) walk towards the back left/right, (9,10) step forward on the floor left, hamcurl right, (11,12) step down right, knee lift left, (13,14) as you step left again turn/pivot right back to the step, right knee lifts, (15,16) walk back to the step right/left.

***V-Straddle with Knee: (1,2) on the floor, step forward wide right and left so the step is between your feet, (3,4) step up right, knee lift left, (5,6) straddle down left/right, (7,8) step back left and right to complete the V and return you to the home end.

Note: on the four charlestons you could do 2 charlestons and then do 4 skis (two counts each) or 8 fast skis. To ski (this is done on the floor): after the second charleston your left foot is back and the right foot is on the floor; now switch the feet so the left is forward and the right is back. Repeat to fill the 8 counts.
