Very Basic
This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 14187)
Hope this makes sense to anyone reading it, it's a good warmup for my step class as you can increase the intensity of each move.
- Walk forward (4)
- Walk back (4)
- Step touch x 4 (8)
- Double side step & back (8)
- Single grapevine & back (8)
- Diagonal double side step & back (16)
- Step turn* x 2 (16)
- Side squats to right x 4 (8)
- Feet together x 4 (8)
- Side squats to left x 4 (8)
- Feet together x 4 (8)
- Repeat all squats
- Heel digs x 8 with bicep curl
- Side taps x8 with lateral arm raise
- Toe taps behind x 8 with tricep curl
- Knee lifts x 8 with forward punch]
- Repeat from heel digs cutting reps to 4's then 2's
Repeat whole pattern from top increasing intensity, by raising arms, deeper squats -
start off with knee bends and gradually into squats, add jump in on knee, heel and side taps.
*Step turn = step forward with right pivot to face back, step forward with right again and pivot
to face front and march on spot for 3. (8) When adding in intensity jog instead of march on spot.
Hope this is all ok for you. Let me know if you don't understand anything.
