Lethal Leslie #21

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 14372)

As always, horizontal step, tapless. I plan on doing this in my Saturday morning advanced class. Hopefully to some of you it will be considered advanced.

Warm Up

Combo #1

*Change your mind (8) - up right and left moving to the right end of the bench like an over the top (1,2), right foot stomps the floor and left foot lifts (3), left foot back on the step right lifts moving towards left end (4), right foot on step and left lifts still moving towards left end (5), left foot to floor and left end and right lifts off (6), right foot mambos behind left foot and left lifts (7), left foot back on the floor and right lifts ready for the knee lift home (8)

Combo #2

*Reverse & mambo (8) - start with a reverse turn and you stay on top, left foot on right corner (1), right foot on left corner facing the back (2), right foot mambos to floor and left foot lifts at same time (3), left foot back on top (4), right foot mambos on top of step behind left foot and left foot lifts at same time (5), left foot back on step (6) exit right left (7,8).

Combo #3

Combo #4

5 point mambo is just half of a 10 point mambo

*Pop over & back (6) -I start out just doing the regular 6 count mambo and give them the option to change it. Facing the left wall (east), right lead, hop over the step landing on the north side (1), left foot mambos behind right foot and right foot lifts (2), right foot back on the floor and left foot lifts (3), left foot hops over the step to the south side (4), right foot mambos on the floor behind the left foot and left foot lifts (5), left foot back to floor and right lifts ready for next move (6)

*123 on top & exit (5) - This is the same counts as a 5 point mambo, so I start out with that and give them the option to change it. Facing the left wall, right foot leads. Right foot on step and left corner (1), left foot mambos on top behind the right foot and right foot lifts (2), right foot back on the step and left foot lifts (3), exit left right turning to right corner (4,5)

Combo #5

*10 point mambo - I am going to assume that not many people know how to do this so I will explain it with the turn because the shuffle mambo works better with the turn. Right lead at left corner, right foot at left corner and left foot lifts (1), left foot on floor at left end of step (stomping the floor) and right foot lifts (2), right foot back on the step (3) and left foot lifts, left foot on floor at home and right foot on floor at home moving towards right end (4,5) (make sure to take big steps and start to turn to face the right wall), left foot on floor at right end of step facing the back and right foot lifts (6), right foot on the step (stomps the step) and left foot lifts (7), left foot on floor in same place and right foot lifts slightly turning to the right wall (8), stepping on the floor right left while turning over the left shoulder to face the step (counter clockwise) (9,10) ready for the shuffle mambo.

*Shuffle mambo mambo forward and back (8) - (right foot leading) you shuffle down the step (1 & 2) (ending with the left foot in the air) left foot mambos forward and right foot lifts (3), right foot back on the step left foot lifts (4), left foot mambos back on the floor behind the right foot & right foot lifts (5), right foot back on the step and left foot lifts (6) exit left and right turning to face the right corner (7,8)

*Weave & mambo (6) - got this from Marcus Irwin last year or the year before. Facing the right wall, left foot leads. Left foot to the step (1), hop on the left foot while bringing the right leg behind the left leg, while turning slightly to face the back (2), exit right towards front of room (3), left foot to floor (mambo) and right foot lifts (4), right foot back in place and left foot lifts slightly turning to face the back (5), left foot on the floor at the north east corner of the step facing the step and right foot is up (6)

I have one more combo for Saturday's class but I don't have time right now to type it out. Maybe another time. If you have any questions feel free to email me. I hope I have explained things well enough. If not, just ask.
