Scootcha-Booty

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 14620)

There is a song on the new Al Jarreau CD called "Scootcha-Booty". I cued a shuffle turn (scoot the step) as "scootcha-booty" and everyone laughed..so it stuck. The song is great but unsteppable and far from 32 count. Tapless, self-reversing and easy.

Repeat on left

Angle so you are facing the front left corner of room and Mambo cha cha cha right on step (4) then angle toward the back right corner of room and mambo chachacha left on floor (4)

They will need to "aim" for the right side of step after that second chachacha to give them room for the shuffle turn.
Basic training..this will get their heart rates up

You can either do it several times on same lead before switching or switch lead after the jack each time

180 hop: standing on floor hop and face back of room (1-2) then hop and face front (3-4) Gin Miller taught this at an extreme step workshop but if class is uncomfortable with it jump a basic or V-step instead.

Squat thrust..
