Step It Up 1
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 14634)
Here are four combinations. The first two you can do together. The second two can go together, as well. I wouldn't do all 4 combos in the same class unless you broke it up with a drill. You could do the first two combos with another one of your own. Then do a drill or high energy combo for 2 to 3 minutes. Then start over with the last two combos, forgetting the first 3 combos you started with. I hope this makes sense.
- Turnstep with a double knee (right) (8)
- Scoop on the bench (left) 8)
- Diagonal/walk around or 2 step around (just around the end of the bench) (8)
- Indecision lunge (right lead) (exit to your right)
Repeat left lead facing the back of the room.
- 1/2-L-step/side leg raise (8)
- Small turn (on the end of bench/1/2-L to the back of the room) (8)
- Knee straddle knee halfway around (8)
- 1 Repeater right foot on left corner of bench (8)
(Repeat left lead)
- 1 Basic right/1 V right (8)
- Corner to corner (8) (I change this to a knee look away--it's the same as corner to corner but the 2nd "step knee" is on the floor facing the back corner, instead of being on the bench) (8)
- 1/2-L over the top (8)
- 1/2-L home and one step knee on the left corner (8)
(Repeat left lead)
- L-step "come back" (8) (When you complete the L-step come back and land by the right corner of bench. You will be facing the side wall)
- Indecision lunge (on the end of the bench and exit right--the front of the bench) (8)
- Hustle on floor (8) (I jog up and jack back)
- Scoop on the floor (8)
Repeat left lead to the back of the room.
