Three, Three, Three

This is an Aquatic pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 14558)

You can change the number to whatever your class likes. We like three!!

Recently, we had a big festival in our community and it included a parade. I decided to suggest to my class that we have our own water aerobics parade. We wore hats and I gave each person a Hawaaiian laia (from dollar store) and we stradled our noodles, holding the end of the noodle of the person in front of you and, using bicycle legs, kicked around the pool singing patriotic songs. We had noone but the lifeguard to wave too, but he loved it and so did the ladies. We even practiced different types of waving:

1. Unscrewing the lightbulb (your hand reaches up and you pretend to unscrew a light bulb!)

2. The windshield wiper (Your elbow stays stationary and your hand moves back and forth)

3. The figure eight (Make a figure eight motion with your hand) Afterwards, we voted on best costume and I gave a small prize to the winner. This could be used for many special occasions with the songs and costumes reflecting the event being commemorated. This was a fun event and our legs got a great work out, too!!!
