Susan's intermediate step 2
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15112)
Hi all, here's another intermediate combo... 2 32s and a 64 in between, self-reversing, horizontal..
1.
- Kick, walk away, mambo, cha cha cha back to step (right, 8)
- Shuffle around the step (right,8)
- Repeater weave* (right,8)
- Over the top (left,4)
- Basic (left,4)
* Repeater weave: like a repeater knee, except that your toe taps on alternating sides of the bench (front, back, then you exit front)
2.
- Spider V-step* (right, 16)
- Double stomp revolve** (left, 8)
- Travelling side legs (left/right,8)
- Do revolve again (left, 8)
- Travelling ham curls (left/right,8)
- Up lunge for 6*** (left,16)
* V-Spider: this is Carole P's move- thanks, Carole!
** Double stomp, then half a revolving door, so you end up facing the back of the room
** Up lunge for 6:this is like a split basic, but you lunge back 6 times rather than 2, giving you a 16-count move. You can make this more complex by turning as you lunge, so that two lunges are done facing east, two facing south, and the last two facing west (when done with a left lead).
3.
- Mambo cha cha cha on the bench, then floor (right,8)
- "Superman" over and back* (right,8)
- Walkaway joe (right,8)
- Repeater knee straddle (right,8) (as you finish this move in the straddle, your left leg will then lead the next mambo cha)
* "Superman" is simply a weave over the step with arms extended up. More fun to cue. I do a regular over the top and back, then model this tapless version.
- Step up wide right, left (1,2)
- Right foot steps on floor behind left foot (3)
- Left foot steps wide on floor (4)
- Right foot steps in place (5)
- Step up wide left, right (6,7)
- Left foot steps on floor behind right (8)
- Right foot steps out wide on floor (9)
- Left foot steps in place (10)
- Step up wide right, left (11,12)
- Right foot steps in toward left (13)
- Left knee up (14)
- Exit left, right (15,16)
Hope this is easy to understand and error-free this time! Please email if not.
