This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15376)
All combos fit together at end and the entire thing reverses. Most combos reverse for practice.
- Right lead: 1 basic/ 1 indecision (up, up, lunge, lunge, down, down) and 1 knee to corner (16)
- 4 Corner curls (left/right/left/right) (16)
- (left) "L" off right end/cross 2x/"L" exit (16) (can hop turn them for more advanced)
- Mambo (or chug) right/left on step and 4 knee repeater (6) (take repeater to 2 knees, 1 kick, 1 knee)
Repeat all on left or go on to:
- (L) Kick up, walk back kick, (broadway kick, or karate kick?) (8)
- (L) Hop turn walk back kick (8)
- You are on the front of the step: (left) shuffle walk and turn (left foot shuffles 1 and 2 on step, keep walking away from step (right/left on 3 and 4, step right (5), pivot left (6) and walk back to step on 7,8 (right/left)
- (right) Diagonal walk and turn (8)
Repeat other foot or go on:
- (right) Double chug straddle/double chug exit on 9 and 10 (right/left) turning to face other (East) end (10)
- (right) Hop turn over, walk back knee (8)
- (right/left) Corner knees (8)
- (right/left) Mambo to complete count (6)
- (right) 3 Knee repeater off the left end (8) step down, down, don't tap
- (left) Outside left cross, V swoop and full pivot off other end**** This is the only move I do where the left foot crosses in front of the right foot to step on the bench. 1-left foot crosses over in front of right to step on the bench (jazz squareish) 2-right foot steps out right wide to bench 3-left foot steps onto floor behind right foot. You have moved down bench. 4-right foot steps out wide to floor-still moving right so you will clear the right end of the step 5-left step forward and full pivot on 6,7,8
- (left) 3 Walk -1 knee (or jog) forward towards mirror same thing or JACK back (8)
- (left) Cross step and "L" exit. (8)
Repeat all other foot or go on:
- (left) V-step then mambo cha cha cha on floor (8)
- (right) 3 knee repeater and straddle (8)
- (left) Waltz up (march onto step) for 3 counts (left/right/left) (once you get used to this, either jump it up with both feet, or just hop it up on the left foot so you are ready for the straddle on the right) Straddle down right/left on 4 and 5, chug right foot on step for 6 and exit down down (left/right on 7 and 8) As you exit, turn so you face forward.
- (left) Mambo cha cha cha (4) and shuffle (or more cha cha chas) 5 and 6, 7 and 8 around end of step to the front (8)
- (right/left) Corner knees 2x (8)
- (right) Knee straddle/knee exit (8)
Repeat other foot or go on:
- (right) Knee lift off the left end and continue the move into a grapevine-end with a ham curl and start to turn out (to the left) do 2 more curls while you continue turning, then walk or grapevine back to the step for a knee exit.
Repeat the whole dang thing from the beginning-right basic
