Candy's 2 x 32's & a 64
This is a
Double Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15386)
x x Partners, facing each other. Your bench is HOME
x x or YOURS and other bench is called THEIRS.
.x x. Combinations 1 and 2 are 32 count. Number 3 is a
x x long 64 count but easy to break up while building.
Combo 1:
- L-step, slide (8 count)
- Finish L-step (4 count)
- Samba corner to corner, over top of YOURS and switch to THEIRS (10 count) (This puts in in between steps on THEIRS, back to your partner, right leading.)
- Samba THEIRS and YOURS, over top of THEIRS (10 count)
Repeat left lead from THEIRS, totals 32 count
Combo 2:
- Turnover, turnover lunge x 3 right,left,right, exit left,right (14 count) (you will stay on YOURS for all of this)
- Knee corner, knee tap over switch to THEIRS (10 count) (This is like doing a knee corner to corner but on the 2nd knee is: step right, knee up left, left foot taps down and you immediatly 'pop over' the top switching to THEIRS.)
- Up and turn, (facing partner), lunge x 2 right, step down with right and lunge back with left on floor. (8 count) (Or you can just tap down instead of the last lunge.)
Repeat left lead from THEIRS, totals 32 count
OK...Here's the long one
Combo 3:
- 2 Curls on top, down down, mambo front (8 count) (this is a step right, curl left, step left, curl right, all on top then down down right,left toward front end of YOURS, then mambo forward only with right. You will be at small end ready for the 2 slides.)
- Slide x 2 (8 count)
- Up & turn right, left, straddle down right, left (4 count)
- Over top and switch to THEIRS (4 count) (you & partner will be back to back)
- Hop turn straddle, hop turn, exit (8 count) (to make this more interesting, I did a reverse turn tap over with left, then immediately hop turn over with left)
- ***break here for building purposes and teach the left lead. Then later at this same position add:
- Horseshoe on THEIRS switch to YOURS (8 count)
- Horseshoe on YOURS tap down at end (8 count)
- Broken knee repeater, walk to THEIRS, power tap (16 count) (Step up right, 2 x knee left 1-4, down left 5, lunge back right 6, right foot returns to step 7, and do 3rd knee of repeater 8, down left, right & walk to THEIRS 9-12, Power tap 13-16.)
Repeat left lead starting with the 2 curls on top. Totals 64 count
