Sonia's Simply Warmin' Up
This is a
Warmup pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15389)
Horizontal step, 64 count, self-reversing. Basic, but gets the job done!
- Right, 2x V-step, arms lift right/left in V-shape extended forward at shoulder height (8)
- Right, On the floor, lunge right/left/right/left, arms punch down and across body (8)
- Right, 2x Mambo to the step, butterfly arms (8)
- Right, 1x Split basic, arms lift forward (or 2 basics with biceps curls) (8)
- Right, 1/2 L-step knee lift off left end, walk down left/right, overhead press (4)
- Left, Step out to the left going into a squat, arms circle overhead, come up from the squat with feet in place, arms circle outward (4)
- Neutral, Feet are still in place, squat again, begin arm circle (2)
- Left, As you come out of the squat step left foot next to right, completing arm circle (2)
- Right, 1/2 L-step knee lift home, exit left/right (4)
- Left, 4x Traveling move/s of choice or mix it up 2/2 (16)*
Repeat left
Suggestions for traveling moves/arm patterns:
- Hamcurls with arms reaching forward, pulling back
- Glute Squeezes with rear triceps presses.
- Knees with overhead presses.
- Abductors with lateral lifts.
- Adductors with bent arms crossing at waist.
- Kicks with front lifts.
