Veracious Vertical
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15543)
The step is vertical and right foot leads. I personally cross phrase this pattern. I have not tried to self reverse it.
Example of vertical bench
Front
Side Side
Rear
- Right lead, alternating knee straddle (exit opposite side of bench) (8)
- Left double knee, one jack on the floor (8)
- Left turnstep, right reverse hop (8)
- Right turnstep, left reverse hop (8)
- Left lead, split lunge (aka indecision) (8)
- Right mambo, right lead diagonal (8)
- Left lead knee, abductor, hamstring curl, over the top (16)
- Right lead turn, straddle, turn, straddle (16)
- Exit bench (rear- see top diagram for clarification) (4)
- Right basic, on rear of bench (4)
- Right repeater knee, on rear of bench (8)
- Left repeater knee, on rear of bench (8)
- Right lead, uneven march (on left side of bench) (4)
- Right hop turn (4)
- Right lead, walk forward and back on the floor (towards rear of room) (8)
- Right lead, around the world straddle knees (16)
- Right lead, alternating corner kicks (8)
- Right lead, step kick-walk back kick (a broadway knee but a kick) (8)
- Hop turn near front of bench, finish walk back kick approach step (you are on the opposite side of bench facing the front, in same place you began) (8)
- Right lead, A-step x 2 (vertically) (8)
- Right lead, shuffle turnstep (4)
- Left mambo (4)
- Left lead, shuffle turnstep (4)
- Right mambo (4)
- Right double squat (pulse twice) over the top left double squat (pulse twice) (8)
- Left triple squat (pulse 3 times), left leg ball change or kick back (8)
It may not make sense. I have read many submissions and if they didn't make sense I just substituted a modification. I have taught this and it does work out-- just not sure I accurately described it. It is really hard to explain which direction to face with a vertical submission. Feedback is welcome.
