Jacque's Hi-Lo Goes to Step - Tapfree
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 14827)
This is one of my verrry old Hi-Lo combos that I've recently incorporated into a step class. It uses a diagonal floor pattern on either side of the board. I would suggest using music at whatever your higher end tempo is. Below 130 & this can feel like it's dragging, since it's all on the floor.
16 counts, reversing, tap free. Horizontal board, assume right foot lead:
- Right lead: Walk 4 toward the NW corner of the room (4)
- Neutral lead: 2 jacks, OR 1 slow jack & jump together 2 OR step wide and shake what your momma gave you! (4)
- Right lead: "Slide" or "shuffle" back to home position traveling on a SE diagonal (you can pump your shoulders or do creative things with your arms on this) This is like a 4 count cha-cha or chasse and changes the lead leg: Right leg is down on counts 1,2,3,4 -- left leg is down on the "and" between the counts. End with left foot up, ready to lead left for the next move. (4)
- Left lead: Mambo forward & back OR pivot, pivot (360) (4)
Ready to repeat traveling to the NE corner of the room OR you can do a pattern that starts at the SE corner of the step.
